The Palace on Wheels includes 7 Nights/8 Days of a royal journey on this luxurious train. The Palace on Wheels comprises of 14 fully air-conditioned deluxe saloons, equipped with world class amenities to enhance the pleasure of traveling.

In 1991, a new air-conditioned meter gauge Palace on Wheels on the lines of the old heritage train was launched, which has 14 saloons, 2 restaurants cum kitchen cars, one bar cum lounge and 4 service cars. The coaches have different names derived from the former princely states and that provides the link for the coat of arms and the decor inside. |

[Room Facilities In The Train]
- 14 fully air-conditioned deluxe saloons, each a combination of 4 twin bedded chambers with channel music, intercom, attached toilets, running hot and cold water, shower, wall to wall carpeting and other amenities. The furniture with its inlaid motifs has been specially created for the Palace on Wheels.
Each saloon lounge has been equipped with color television and a CD player. A satellite phone is on the way to make you communicate anywhere in the world from the train.
- The train has two lavish restaurants "The Maharaja" and "The Maharani" with a Rajasthani ambience serving palate tickling Continental, Chinese, India and Rajasthani cuisines.
- The train also boasts of a well stocked bar offering the choicest of sprits of Indian and international brands. Each coach also offers a good collection of books to choose from.
- Toilets have been redone and are maintained sparkling clean. All essential toiletries like soaps, shampoos, moisturizers etc. are provided in the train.
- An exotic array of dishes to choose from the Continental, Chinese, Indian and Rajasthani cuisines is available on the Palace on Wheels.
- Special assistance is available in the form of wheel chairs, creches and a special attendant for manual assistance.
